Common name

Description

Rhizome shortly creeping; rhizome scales deltoid, cells very dark and completely thickened in the center, forming a kind of pseudo-rib, outer cells thin-walled. Fronds closely spaced, coriaceous. Stipe shorter than lamina, greyish, scaly, 9-10 cm long. Lamina oblong in outline, pinnate, 14-20 cm long. Pinnae 10-20 pairs, (sub)opposite, sessile, trapezoid, 2 x 0.7-1 cm, trilobed, middle lobe slender and long tapering to a point, margins incised, veins subflabellate, several times bifurcate. Sori 0.5-2 cm long, not reaching the costa or margin.
